<aside> 👉 Note for non-Japanese speaking friends: I can’t guarantee that all of these places can accommodate to English speakers (having staff that can speak English/places with signs and menus in English). I would suggest looking up these locations on Google Maps/TripAdvisor to see if there are reviews in English/by English speakers if you want to be extra sure.

All of the spots are organized in the table below, with multiple "views" that let you filter by area or category. The areas are split roughly based on ...gut feeling and the amount of spots there were to a specific area, and they're also color coded by area groups.
I initially had this guide all on a single Google Doc page, but moved it over here upon request to organize the places by both area and category. If you have suggestions on how to make this guide better, let me know! :-)
This list obviously doesn't cover all of my favorite spots as there are too many in Tokyo, but I've tried my best to pick places that I've been to more than once / knew upon first visit that it was for sure a favorite. I've also tried to stray away from the "obvious" (e.g. TeamLab, Tokyo Tower, Tsukiji Fish Market, etc. since the rest of the world is already recommending them). I'll be adding more as I explore more of the city myself!
